A bit about my journey...

As a devoted yoga practitioner, it wasn’t until I was exposed to Ayurveda that I understood how to truly serve myself through healthier lifestyle choices.

Learning the key principals of this vast and rich science, empowered me to integrate them into my life. I saw direct shifts as my yoga practice (on and off the mat) enhanced with a better understanding of how to balance my body/mind through sustainable practices and optimal lifestyle routines.

As these principals have become an important part of my own journey, I am deeply passionate about sharing them with others to provide a pathway for greater transformation.

While there are many ways to learn, the felt experience is one of the most effective ways to absorb information. Experiencing the foundational aspects of Ayurveda through the practices on our mat, allows us to embody (feel) their qualities and create new muscle patterning through our physical, mental and emotional bodies. As we deepen our awareness with consistent experience (practice) and continual exploration, the wisdom becomes embodied and can then be expressed organically.

I am thrilled to share this course, a compilation of practices and e-guide focused on the five elements. My hope is that this course sparks a seed of desire for further knowledge and becomes a catalyst in your growth and evolution as yoga practitioner!

 Why Ayurveda?

Ayurveda provides a gateway to understand the most basic principals and philosophies of our bodies and minds. Similar to Yoga, Ayurveda creates a blueprint for living a holistic and fulfilled life. The two are are often called ‘sister sciences’ as they are deeply interconnected — and understanding the basics of Ayurveda directly impacts and elevates any yoga practice (on and off the mat) through sustainable practices and optimal lifestyle routines. 

Why the five elements?

The whole universe is an interplay of the energies of the five elements — earth, water, fire, air, and space. They are the building blocks of nature and are a doorway of knowledge to understanding creation itself.

The elements each represent specific qualities and ideas that when experienced in balance, express well-being in the body, mind and heart. Ayurveda teaches us to utilize and express the elements in alignment with our own unique constitution, the seasons and cycles of our life.
